So i got some good news for me! i finaly got something to work on!

But the best part off all this is that my computer memory died last friday and i still did not get the replacement. So i can not do anything! I love my life (not)

After talking with my college adviser in the past week I have came to a conclusion that I will try my best to attend the next GDC (Game Developers Conference) in 6 months time.

This trip would give me an opportunity to meet a massive amount of people that work in the industry that I am trying so hard to enter. It will also give me the opportunity to put my resume and my portfolio in to there hands. Hopefully if they will see something that they like, they may interview me on the spot for a job position.

My plan for the next 5 to 6 month is very simple, produce a significant amount of high quality 3D models that will be able to elevate my Demo Reel to new heights.

First Model:

The first model that I will attempt to make will be a male game character. My goal is to make at least one game character by the end of this month, which I will be able to import in to a game engine.

For the past two or three months I came out with 15 or 20 3D artworks "it least I hope they can be called artworks". They included two arc tactual works, 3D graffiti, some car rims, and a bunch of weapons from line of Halo, and Gears of War too.

After all this time I am starting to feel a lot more confident about myself. In result I am going to start trying to do some of my ideas that I have floating around in my head.

Hopefully I will be able to get one or two concepts drawings of multiplayer maps that I have in my head for little more than a year now for Halo 3. On top of that I will also try to start on this little 3D model of a town or a village that is located in the desert (I have no idea how long this one is take me to make, hopefully no longer then 2 or 3 weeks).

Finally I was able to get all of the Normal Mapping done for everything! So the whole Unwrapping UVW I started doing about 1 week and 5 or 6 days ago, I think it took me about 2 maybe 3 days to get it all unwrapped. Then 1 day to create several Normal Maps in ZBrush and get them all together in Photoshop.

After that I encountered two problems, the first on was me turning 21 and being drunk for like 3 to 4 days with a hell of a hand over "but I gas I head that coming". The new problem that I just got in too is…..Diffuse Map!!!!!!!!!! I already created couple of them but, for some reason I am just not happy with them at all.

Success! i have finally figured out what i was doing wrong with the Normal Mapping. On top of that i was able to successfully create a Normal Map for the sword! And there is a slight possibility that i might start understanding how texturing works, this stuff is awesome!!!!!!

Unfortunately after figuring out what i was doing wrong i also feel like i am a complete idiot that should go jump off a bridge…

I will have something up soon!

Du to my lack of skills in texturing, i was unable to finish and submit my game character in time. So now I cant submit it in to the competition.

I spent a lot of time on learning, reading tutorials, and references of how to texture and stuff but for some reason it just did not come out right. In other words this really sucks!

Right now i am trying to retexture my character again, just to see if it helps in any ways. Hopefully i will be able to finish it up in the next couple of days.

Also thanks to *HyperDivine i was able to acquire a correct ZMapper Configuration file so that i can create a Normal Map.

Create a Powerful Artifact User!  

Time period:
Post-apocalyptic futuristic fantasy where magic exists. With technology unable to function due to the remnant effects of an ultimate weapon launched 1000 years ago, a new science has emerged. Formed by residual effects of an ancient ultimate weapon, or maybe an evolutionary step in the universe, whatever it is, this mystical force can now be harnessed by a few talented individuals or can be infused into items to make simple magical items or immensely powerful magical artifacts. As a result, a new age of life has come forth: An age of Magic!   

Race:
You can create any organic, demonic or undead race: Alien, vampire, angel, succubus, skeleton, mutant, elf, human, fish, pixy, treant, giant... Anything! Only exception: No robots, metal constructs, magical golums, cyborgs, steam engines, steam equipment or anything with electronics.  


So i have 17 days 1 hr. 22 min. and 27 sec. to finish it, and i have no idea what i am doing. The reason for that is I never before in my like made any kind of character. I never use textured anything and or applied Normal Mapping to any kind of object. So in other words i am pretty much fed.
